Project Description

This project involved the full major loss reinstatement of a Grade II listed manor house, requiring extensive structural and restoration works to return the property to its former condition.

Following the discovery of widespread rot, the team undertook temporary propping and a complete rebuild of key structural walls, alongside the reconstruction of three chimneys affected by severe structural defects. To ensure the property’s stability and comfort, floors were levelled throughout, and a full electrical rewire was carried out in conjunction with the replacement of the heating and hot water systems.

The reinstatement also included the refurbishment of several bathrooms, one of which featured the installation of a bespoke steam room. In keeping with the manor’s historic character, custom joinery was crafted for the library, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern functionality to create a seamless finish that respects the property’s heritage.
